On February 10, 2026, Laptop.lk Pvt Ltd marked a significant milestone in its corporate social responsibility journey with the successful completion of its 5th IT Laboratory at Ananda College, Chilaw.

This initiative forms part of the broader “Rebuilding Sri Lanka” program, launched to restore educational infrastructure and uplift communities affected by the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah in late 2025.

The event was graced by Pradeep Saputhanthri, Secretary to the Prime Minister, who attended as the Chief Guest.
The Guest of Honor was Famy Ismail, Chairman of Technocity Pvt Ltd and Laptop.lk Pvt Ltd, alongside Mr. Kadeer, Director of Technocity Pvt Ltd, Mr Hemal Chanrathne Head of Services.

The IT equipment donated to Ananda College was valued at approximately LKR 6.5 million, contributing to the overall LKR 50 million commitment pledged by Laptop.lk pvt ltd towards the Rebuilding Sri Lanka initiative.

This milestone reflects Laptop.lk’s continued dedication to empowering education through technology and supporting the nation’s long term recovery and development.
